We are very pleased to announce that Stewarts & Murdochs have adopted Age Scotland as our Charity of the year.

Age Scotland is the new force resulting from the coming together in 2009 of Age Concern Scotland and Help the Aged in Scotland. Through its online presence, telephone helpline and numerous factsheets, Age Scotland provides an invaluable information service for anyone concerned about their health and wellbeing as they get older, or that of their parents and other older relatives and friends.

As well as leading campaigns addressing issues of importance to those in later life, Age Scotland also helps local community groups and individuals to provide local services where these are needed.

This ties in with the ethos behind our Special Services for the Elderly. We hope to develop close ties with Age Scotland and want to ensure that our clients are made aware of what Age Scotland can do for them.

During the year we plan to hold some fundraising activities. We are entering a team in next years Women’s 10K race in Glasgow and there will be a Charity Quiz later this year. Watch this space for details.

Our main fund raising will be through donating £10 of every fee we receive for the preparation of Wills throughout the year. If you haven’t already done so, this is the perfect opportunity for you to put your legal affairs in order whilst, at no extra cost, ensuring a donation to a very worthy charity.
